Community Messiah Sing

Community Messiah Sing
Date and time
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, November 06, 2022
Description

Originally composed in 1741 by German-British composer G. F. Handel, “Messiah” is inspired by the Old Testament prophesies and New Testament stories about the birth of Christ, his death and resurrection. These stories are told through songs such as: And The Glory of the Lord, And He Shall Purify, O Thou that Tellest Good Tidings To Zion, For Unto Us a Child is Born, Glory to God, and Hallelujah! Many may recognize these performances around Christmas time, as well as Easter. Community Messiah Sing will be directed by Larry Dame and brought to you by Missouri State University-West Plains and the West Plains Council on the Arts with partial funding by the Missouri Arts Council.
